I've been having some good luck lately with selling things through Kijiji.
I started out with selling off my
English edition manga and light novels last October, and since then I'm happy to report that I've managed to sell 71 out of 108 volumes so far. Quite happy with that, to be sure.
And just this past Friday, I had the brilliant idea to sell my
iClicker, which I've had lying around for a couple of years. I didn't want to have to throw it out in the trash since it was still in perfect working order. So I posted up an ad for it.
And less than 24 hours later, I get no less than three responses for it! I was not expecting that at all, so it left me in a joyful shock, heheh. I think pricing it at $15 made it a bit more appealing, especially when compared to what the university bookstore wants for them ($40 + tax).
And despite me writing in the ad afterwards that it was on hold for someone (because I didn't want to delete the ad before I sold the unit), a couple other people expressed their interest in my iClicker as well. XD I don't know, some people just can't be bothered to read the whole ad I guess.
So now after quite a few successes using Kijiji, I've put up a few more ads for things I no longer care for or need. Since it's the beginning of the winter semester for universities, I decided to post ads for my
Kanji and
Chinese textbooks just to see what would happen. Haven't gotten any responses yet, but I'll still hold out hope. Even if they don't sell this semester, there's always the next one! The great thing about language textbooks is that they don't become obsolete after two years. ;)
